I’ve been trying to get around to watching this for a while. I know it got bad reviews, but I’ve enjoyed almost all the Coen Brothers films and well... I enjoyed this. It’s not perfect, far from it, but with echoes of Fargo, mixed with a heavy desire for Hitchcock, it’s not bad. It’s only written by the Coens though and lacks their direction, which instead is provided by George Clooney. I doubt it would stand up to repeat viewing, but for a one-off spot of fun, it just about hits the mark.
