Were do I start with this!!? It’s over 2 hours a retina searing frenetic action and colour. It’s cheesy from the get go, dialogue, plot, but despite the explosions and mind boggling camera acrobatics, there’s never any danger. It’s fun, schmaltzy and probably the geekiest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m sure that a good chunk of the in-jokes went over my head, but despite its many flaws, I quite enjoyed the switch your brain off and just smile journey. The whole Shining sequence was rather delightful though.
