Oasis: Supersonic (2016)

Updated: Jul 31, 2019

No matter what you think of Oasis, a rags to riches story always makes compelling viewing and this is very ragged, consisting mainly of choppy archive footage. It always amazes me how much stuff these bands starting out capture, especially back then when surely it wasn't that easy to film random behind the scenes shots, but great that they did, as it's what makes this documentary tick. Couple that with the double headed rent-a-quote machine that is Noel and Liam, job done, it pretty much makes itself! The lasting impression from this is early Oasis sounded great (wisely this only covers the first two albums) and everyone in the 90s looked bloody awful! But those early albums were immense.
