At two and a half hours long, this is a test of endurance. Phoenix and Brolin are both very good as the stoner P.I. and clean (but no so clean) cut cop, both as crazy and paranoid as each other, chasing the twisting plot of equally crazy characters. Truth is though, even with an hour cut, I think this would still struggle. It's not bad. It's just not that good.
