Once upon a time I’d, as the parent, be the one who’d watched the film before, knew what was coming and was there for comfort in the more challenging scenes. My how the tables have turned. My eldest's film choice this evening was the excellent yet devastating Grave of the Fireflies. I’m in bits, it’s absolutely brutal.
